Overview

Abhinav Mahavidyalaya, Sunderkhed is a premier institution of higher education in Buldhana district, Maharashtra. Established in 1996 under the aegis of the Abhinav Education Society, the college is affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University. True to its motto — विद्या ददाति विनयम् (Knowledge gives humility) — the institution is committed to taking quality higher education to rural students, and is recognised for its strong academic culture, dedicated faculty and vibrant campus life.

History

The college was founded in 1996 by the Abhinav Education Society with a single undergraduate programme in Civil Engineering and an intake of 60 students. Over the years, the institute has grown into a multi-disciplinary campus offering programmes in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Telecommunication, Mechanical, Civil and Artificial Intelligence & Data Science.

Key milestones in the institute's journey:

• 1996 — College established with the Department of Civil Engineering.
• 2003 — Departments of Mechanical and Electronics Engineering added.
• 2008 — Postgraduate programmes (M.E.) commenced; recognised under UGC Sections 2(f) and 12(B).
• 2010 — First NAAC accreditation with Grade 'A'.
• 2018 — Conferred Autonomous Status by UGC.
• 2023 — Re-accredited by NAAC with Grade 'A+' (CGPA 3.42); ranked in NIRF Engineering band 101–150.
